Welcome to my blog – finnovation.pl!
Let me introduce myself in few words:
- My name is Michal Kisiel
- I live in Wroclaw, Poland. I was born here in 1976.
- I studied sociology at the University of Wroclaw and, for one semester, at University of North Carolina at Greensboro
- I was from the beggining very interested in online communities. My master thesis were build around this subject and the resulting work was rewarded by the Polish Sociological Association in 2000.
- In 2004 I earned my Ph.D. in finance at the University of Economics at Wroclaw. The Ph.D. thesis results were published as a book “The Internet and the competetiveness of commercial banks in Poland” in 2005.
- I now work as an assistant professor at the University of Economics at Wroclaw, Chair of Finance.
- In spare time I write for Bankier.pl and (in English) P2P-banking.com
This blog is written, as you can see, in Polish. Finnovation.pl is a place where I publish news and commentary on financial innovations, mainly in retail banking. My area of interest comprises of intersection between “social”, “electronic” and “banking” – especially social lending, social investing, e-payments and online banking. If you would like to contact me, feel free to write to m.kisiel@finnovation.pl. You can also stalk me on the Internet :)
